My laboratory focuses on the regulation of hematopoiesis by both hematopoietic cell autonomous and nonautonomous means. Particularly, emphasis is on the hematopoietic stem cell niche and its role in normal and malignant disease. The overall goal of the lab is to develop novel approaches to hematologic disease through understanding the basic biology of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells.
